About us

Lexeo is a specialist language and communication consultancy and specialist teacher agency that has been set up in response to a demand for expert advice and professional learning in the field of language and communication impairment in children and young people.

The company director, John Lavender, has over 30 years teaching experience in mainstream and specialist settings, has been an ALNCo / SENDCo and a senior leadership team member. He graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2023 with a distinction in their MSc Language and Communication Impairment in Children course, also winning the Tall Ship departmental prize for consistently achieving the highest marks over the duration of the course. This is in addition to other postgraduate qualifications in the ALN/SEND, including achieving the National Qualification for SENCo.

If you have any concerns over your students’ behaviour (both externalising and internalising), literacy or other ALN/SEND needs such as ASD/ASC, ADHD etc, these could be directly related to unidentified language and communication needs or these needs having a co-morbidity with language and communication difficulty.
