Lexeo is a specialist language, communication and literacy consultancy delivering targeted, dual-track support in England and Wales. We strengthen whole-school provision while providing bespoke, evidence-based interventions for individual pupils and small groups.

Lexeo was established to meet the growing demand for expert advice, professional learning and strategic support in language and communication. We partner directly with Headteachers, Senior Leadership Teams, SENDCos and ALNCos to identify underlying barriers, strengthen inclusive practice and unlock every pupil’s potential.
Our dual-track approach connects strategic whole-school improvement with targeted teaching for learners whose literacy, language or communication needs may not yet have been fully recognised.

John has more than three decades of teaching and leadership experience across mainstream and specialist settings in England and Wales. Having served as an ALNCo/SENDCo and Senior Leadership Team member, he understands the statutory, operational and strategic pressures school leaders face.
Whether auditing provision, delivering targeted CPD or designing bespoke literacy and communication interventions, John works alongside Headteachers, SLT and ALNCos/SENDCos to turn specialist knowledge into realistic, measurable classroom practice.

Staff training & classroom practiceJohn from Lexeo has been fantastic to work with. He delivered some brilliant training for our staff on the link between speech, language and communication skills, behaviour and pupil engagement. Specialist learner supportJohn has been working with our learners in both our primary and secondary settings for two years. Our learners have a range of additional learning needs including Autism and ADHD, and their communication and literacy skills are often several years behind their age-related expectations.
John engages learners through enjoyable activities which develop skills such as phonological awareness, handwriting, spelling, reading and emotional literacy. The majority make rapid progress. We have seen learners make two years of progress in just a few months in reading and spelling, for example. Would highly recommend.

During a May 2026 inspection at Talocher School, provision for pre- and emerging readers was described as especially effective, adaptive and systematic, with pupils making strong progress from varied starting points.
